Building and Demolition Permit Applications

In accordance with the National Building Code of Canada, the National Energy Code of Canada, and Saskatchewan Construction Standards Appeal Board orders, the Village has adopted Bylaw 2023-02 respecting Buildings as of January 1, 2024,

All building projects will need to be inspected and approved by the Village's appointed building officials. 

Municode will be providing plan review and building inspection services. 

• A building permit is required for any improvement to your property at a value greater than $1000 or includes a building greater than 10 m2 or 107.6 ft2

•  You will require two sets of plans and specifications of the proposed building and work.  A detailed sketch of where the building will be placed on the property and the distance from all property lines will need to be clearly marked on the plan.

• Demolition permits must include a detailed route if a building is to be moved or an explanation of how the site will be reclaimed and materials disposed if a building is to be demolished.

• Please allow time for processing before starting your project.  A permit for a simple shed project may take up to 4 weeks to process.  A larger project will take more time.  Contact the village office to discuss your proposed building plan.  A building inspector will be consulted to help you with the permit application process.
